National Hate Crime Awareness Week

This year's National Hate Crime Awareness Week is 10th-17th October.

The Association has been working with partners including Race Council Cymru, Victim Support and South Wales Police to organise a number of events for Hate Crime Awareness Week 2020.

Here are some of the events we have been involved with:

10th October -Opening Event at 10am -11am 

12th October - Arti Shah 10:30am -11:30am

14th October - Hate Crime Awareness Training at 10am

The session is open to any group or organisation who wishes to have a direct person(s) who will support and advise others on how to recognise a hate crime, report it and speak up for others.

The session will cover;

- Who does Hate Crime affect?
- Protected Groups
- The Impact of Hate Crime
- Your role as a Champion for your organisation
- Reporting and the importance of this
