1) To promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public, in particular, but not exclusively in Neath Port Talbot by:

a) advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity;

b) promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds.

 

2) To promote racial harmony for the public benefit, in particular but not exclusively in Neath Port Talbot, by:

a) advancing education and raising awareness about different racial groups to promote good relations between persons of different racial groups;

b) working towards the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race.

 

3) To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by working with people in Neath Port Talbot and the surrounding areas who are socially excluded on the grounds of their ethnic origin, religion, belief or creed, in particular members of the minority ethnic community, to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society, in particular by:

a) providing a local network group that encourages and enables members of the minority ethnic community to participate more effectively with the wider community;

b) increasing, or coordinating, opportunities for members of the minority ethnic community to engage with service providers, to enable those providers to adapt services to better meet the needs of that community.
